National Human resource development is defined as a national, well-planned investment capable of enhancing a country's human capital and facilitating the achievement of the nation's economic and social goals. While there are significant differences between countries in how NHRDs are implemented, which can vary from centralized NHRDs to government-initiated NHRDs to decentralized/free market NHRDs, there are significant similarities in what these NHRD initiatives entail. Activities under the purview of the NHRD include: Industrial training, basic education of the workforce, and education offered very broadly to include workplace equity and productivity, lifelong learning, creation of comparative labor market data, and management and Includes practice problems. development (Zanko & Ngui, 2003, p. 13).

In a knowledge economy, the socio-economic development of a nation largely depends on the quality of its national human capital. While unskilled labor and other resources are relatively ineffective, knowledgeable people are essentially replacing a country's land, machinery, and capital Drucker (1999). The McKinsey Global Institute (2014) estimates says knowledge-intensive flows account approximately half of any and all globalized and are developing at a rate that really is 1.3 significantly faster than labor - intensive commodities flow. Focusing on the growth of human capital has allowed nations with limited physical resources, like Japan and South Korea, to create advanced economies. Manufacturing and automation were the primary forces behind economic expansion during the industrial era. Nonetheless, in the modern era, humans have taken on a vital part in the development of national economies.

Industries and businesses in reality, the introduction of robotics, artificial
intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IOT) has generated a lively
debate on the "future of employment”.
The
competitive tool of the twenty-first century will be workforce skills. New
manufacturing and processing technologies will be created by brainpower, but
skilled labor will be the hands and feet that enable humans to use them. The
only source of competitive advantage is talent. (Warner,2000, p. 752).

Highly appreciated your effort. As you mentioned in your article, yes now most of the companies are in a competition for talents. In Sri Lanka also HR supply is not enough for the HR demand. So relevant parties should focus to develop a system to enhance the skill labor force in National level.
